Good preparation protects accuracy without turning an interview into a scripted performance.
Define the interview objective
Clarify what the audience should understand after the interview, which subjects are within scope and which facts require careful qualification.
Build a message house
Organize a small number of evidence-backed messages with proof points, examples and language for uncertainty. Messages should answer questions rather than evade them.
Rehearse pressure points
Practice short, direct answers to the most difficult reasonable questions. Test interruptions, false premises and requests for information that cannot yet be disclosed.
Prepare follow-up material
Have verified dates, documents, biographies and approved background ready. If an answer needs checking, commit to a documented follow-up rather than improvising.
Prepare a clear brief
If this issue affects your organization, record the relevant entities, jurisdictions, dates, source URLs, authority to act and the decision deadline. Share only what is necessary for an initial assessment.
